Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By installing and using the Pawly Virtual Pet Chrome Extension, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.

2. Virtual Currency ("Gems")

Gems are a virtual, in-app currency used exclusively within the Pawly extension to unlock cosmetic items. Gems have no real-world monetary value, cannot be exchanged for real money, and cannot be transferred outside the extension. We reserve the right to manage, regulate, control, modify, or eliminate virtual currency at our sole discretion.

3. User Conduct

You agree not to modify, reverse engineer, hack, or exploit the extension to artificially inflate your virtual currency balance or bypass the payment systems.

4. Intellectual Property

All graphics, animations, code, and assets within the extension are the intellectual property of the Pawly team and are protected by copyright laws.

5. Refunds and Purchases

All purchases of virtual currency ("Gems") are final. Because Gems are immediately credited to your account upon purchase, we do not offer refunds, exchanges, or cancellations once a transaction is complete, except where required by law. If you encounter a technical issue with a purchase, please contact support.

6. Service Availability and Updates

While we strive to keep the extension and its associated services (such as our content delivery network) running smoothly, we do not guarantee 100% uptime. The extension may automatically download and install updates, which may alter, add, or remove features or cosmetic items.

7. Limitation of Liability

The extension is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the extension or any loss of virtual currency due to browser resets, uninstalls, device changes, or loss of your Cloud Sync encryption keys.

8. Custom Pet Commissions and Intellectual Property

The "Custom Pets Studio" service allows users to request custom virtual pets based on their real-life pets or original ideas. By submitting reference images, you represent and warrant that you own or have the necessary rights to use those images. We strictly prohibit requests for pets based on copyrighted or trademarked characters (e.g., Pokémon, Disney characters, or other protected intellectual property). We reserve the right to reject any commission request that we believe infringes on third-party intellectual property rights. All custom pets created by our artists are for your personal, non-commercial use within the extension only. The resulting artwork remains the intellectual property of Pawly, and you are granted a license to use it strictly within the Pawly ecosystem.
